Fill materials specially developed for OSBORN International guarantee the best quality and efficiency. We would be pleased to help you choose the best brush for your needs.
Tempered quality crimped steel wire |
is the most common fill material. This wire is ideally suitable for light
surface treatment and deburring operations. It is used for flexible brushing,
too.
Brass-coated steel wire |
(Mono wire and cord wire). This description refers to single wires or cable,
each being characterised by high tensile strength and are used for demanding
brushing and deburring operations.
Brass wire |
For special applications such as surface finishing on workpieces of copper
and brass.
Stainless steel wire, material No. 14401 or others, crimped, straight or knotted |
This wire is used where residues left by normal steel wire would affect surfaces
such as stainless steel, aluminium and other nonferrous metals. Besides the
most commonly used alloys (such as 1.4401) other alloys ( such as 1.4571 or
302) are also available.
Tempered quality steel wire, straight and knotted |
This wire is used for extreme brushing requirements, e.g. removing heavy encrustations
or cleaning weld seams. Brushing tools with knotted wire generally have less
flexibility than those with crimped wire.
Horse hair |
For light cleaning operations.
Fibre |
Pure vegetable fibre, ideal for wet and dry cleaning and dust removal operations.
Heat-resistant.
Special crimped steel wire |
Heavy duty steel wire with higher tensile strength than the tempered quality
steel wire. Therefore, the durability of the brushing tool is increased and
is better suited for removing surface contaminations.
Synthetic filaments |
Highly flexible, resistant to weak acids and bleach, non abrasive.
Schmilon-abrasive filament |
Nylon filaments impregnated with abrasive grit (silicon carbide) for solving deburring, product and surface finishing problems. They are suitable for all metal, plastic and wooden surfaces.
